This  group started providing English support, aimed primarily at the Pacific Islanders (Kiribati and Tuvalu) community already attending MPC.  We are now holding classes open to anyone with English as their Second, or Foreign, Language.  For more information contact Jonathan Lee 425 0505

Classes are run Sunday afternoons from 2-4 pm in the Wilson Hall, 5 Pulham Rd Warkworth.     The sessions are run in blocks of 6 to 8 weeks.

We currently run three classes:

1. Elementary: taught by Jonathan Lee. This focuses on intensive English pronunciation and basic conversation.

2. Mixed ability class: Teaching is shared between Gene Nicolson, Marie Anticich and Carol Hazeltine with other helpers.   Students include people from Tonga, Indonesia and, just recently, Japan.  Classes are team taught and provide a mix of subject matter: grammar, pronunciation, information sharing/orientation about life in New Zealand, teaching/singing worship songs.
